I was wondering if somebody would help me in my year long projcet of peicing together and building a ca18 for my s14. The only reason why i want to peice together a motor is that i am only 17 and a large transaction on my part would throw red flags with my parents. I have a steady job at walgreens pharmacy so money is not a big issue, but i would like to get maybe a motor here, then a transmission there you know what i mean? since i've noticed that you ca guys are quite close and a tightly woven family i was wondering if maybe somebody could help me out.... anyway i'm trying to sell of my audio system if anybody is interested.

try libero...i think they said my CA was their last one, but i got it for $400 engine and $200 transmission...plus $190 to ship it
they'd be your best bet to just get the engine and transmission alone!

There's a guy in miami florida that is selling ca18's for $450. Some have transmissions and some dont. He said the only thing wrong with the engines are that they were sitting for a while and the turbo is starting to seize up. But other than that he said they are in great shape. Im thinking of possibly gettting an engine from him. If you have AIM his SN is Turbo Man2343. Hope I was some help to ya. Good luck.

Steven, I'm in Topeka! Nice to see some "locals". I'm going the CA route too as soon as I've got the dough together. Good luck finding anything local man. Adam (Dauntless) at afterdark tuning is going to be your best bet. Unfortunatly he doesn't do just peices, but he does hand pick his stuff from running cars in Japan. He's got pretty reasonable prices too. You'd get a complete motorset. Everything you need to do the install. You might contemplate going that route.
Oh yes it is nice to see a fellow 240 around these parts.. and topeka isn't that far! We should meet up sometime next time i'm in KC. Keep in touch AIM = Darealsteben talk to me sometime.
Edit Oh yeah about the complete motor thing from dauntless, I just don't see myself justifying a 1800 dollar purchase to my parents, so that is my biggest stipulation. Otherwise I would and save myself the headache. I figured this way I could get what I wanted, and my mom wouldn't have to kill me.
