I replaced my front passenger power window regulator yesterday. The window now operates, but only in small jumps and makes an absolutely wonderful noise when going down (but not up...). WTF?

Video where you can hear the sound:

Sounds like the bees in your motor are angry and going on strike every three seconds. Maybe they're union now? Grease window with honey and try again. :p

Sorry, I don't have power windows because of weird sh*t like this happening to me repeatedly...

You're a car guy - Pull the door panel and run the window up/down.

My bet is on a bad roller in the rear track, but I could be wrong.

Oh I did that. I ran the mechanism in and out of the door, with and without glass in it, all that stuff... That's why I resorted to posting a video of the sound. I even pulled the motor apart because I thought it might be a wonky brush (they sit at a weird angle so I thought it might explain the directionality of the issue) but everything seemed fine. I also suspected a roller but that didn't seem to be it. So I figured I'd see if anyone else has had a similar issue and solved it.

The one thing I haven't done (ran out of time) was run the motor detached from the regulator. That will hopeful narrow things a bit.
