I've been looking on here, but haven't found the info I'm wanting...

Okay, I think most everyone knows I've already had a CA in my hatch and now I'm back to single cam KA... I'm starting over again, but am having doubts about going the whole CA road again. Here is my question...

If I spend the same amount of money - would I get everything goin the KA-T way that I would going the CA half cut way? I am also doing silvia front end and RHD conversions...

See, I can get a silvia half cut w/ CA, RHD (of course) transmission, all that good stuff and have it put on my hatch for about $3k-$3500.-But, I can get a KAde and transmission, ecu, and harness for $150, I figure about a grand for a quality front end conversion, but I don't know how much the RHD conversion would cost, since they'd have to pretty much make a new firewall, and I don't know how much I would end up spending on a turbo setup for the KA...

So, I guess my question really is...For the 3-4grand I'll spend on the front clip and all, can I do the same thing to a KA and see anywhere near the same power out of the engine and get all the bodywork done w/o going over the $4k mark??

That means can I get all this for less than $4k:KA24DE w/ 5sp.trannyFull KA turbo setupS13 front endRHD conversion (firewall, jdm dash, etc.)silvia hub/brake conversion

exactly... i'm doing it for the drive-thru's!! No seriously I am.

Actually if I do the half cut, i'll have no choice but have RHD (wayyy to much trouble to put LHD on a RHD front end..i'm lazy)

and can anyone say PLUS with judges at nopi nats??

why not just buy a RHD car already?

it depends on what problems you had with your first CA. i don't know the whole story, but if you couldn't get that running right or blew that up, then how easy do you think turboing a non-turbo motor will be?

getting from point a to point b never goes as planned. a $4K budget may turn into a 6K or 8K one.

i usually tend to go with what works, learn how it works, and decide for myself. there's plenty of KA-T's running around, there's more KA-T's in my city than Silvias (the real RHD ones). one blew his up, and another, fearing his will blow up rebuilt his motor over the winter.
