I want a low pro cat back system, meaning no canisters and nothing loud. I tried to listen to many videos but honestly they're either crappy quality or they're loud.

Namely a few that I know about but necessarily options:

-Artisan
-Greddy SE *Love the blue but def cost too much*
-Nismo
-Tanabe Touring
-?
-?

I like it to be for sure quiet and no drone while cruising on hwy, and nothing that's gonna wake people up during mid night when I turn the car on..HKS Hi-power, or Ti-C sorts of sound is definitely out the window....

Also..is it just me or the forum moves slow because there aren't enough A/C enthusiasts? Especially the marketplace...not many people parting out/selling stuff.

PS: Finally on the hunt for a white 6spd 2.5 in the Orange County CA area.

There's also Tanabe and LSD(which isn't too pricey and they're based out of orange county i think....towards long beach). I went to my local muffler shop and had wider tubing and a spin-tech muffler installed and it sounds great! not ricey at all and has a deep tone, i just wish i would have gotten cooler looking tips (like the freddy se tips).

Isnt the Tanabe made for 3.5? probably is good but..I had concept-g on a tC few years back and its slightly louder than I would like...I'd imagine this one is as loud if not louder w/ dual tip.

I know exactly where "LSD" is at and been there..not digging the design though :(

yea i couldn't agree more. I met with the guy who had his car prototyped for the exhaust (since i was planning on doing the group buy) but it wasn't what i expected after watching his videos on youtube. He liked my exhaust better and even asked if it was a 3.5. :bowrofl:

if anything, you can get a custom exhaust and then have it changed to the tune youd like

@Desire - cool but are you in the socal area? But I'm not looking for a 3.5 anyways lol I'd pass. ty
@sc - ya now I think about it tanabes don't sound all that rich and deep as I'd like them to be. And what about y pipe for 2.5?

If you're looking for no drone my opinion would be the Tanabe or Borla. I had horrendous drone on my Stillen Catback. The Nismo is fairly tame I believe although I've never driven a coupe that has it to confirm the cabin noise.

y-pipes strickly 3.5 but the stillen header for us 2.5ers is equivilent to the y-pipe for the 3.5ers
but if u want a quiet exhaust thats just gonna make it twice as loud

i think tanabe might be ur best bet or the nismo's said to have a z tune to it, not to sure how loud it is tho

I will try to listen to more Nismo clips...tanabe's don't sound rich enough imo...its almost a fart cannon except its made by tanabe lol that's how I can describe it I guess lol...never know though maybe I'll end up with it.

@mmx: also could you PM me additional pictures? perhaps more clear and bright from the front and corner front view? Thanks

fart cannon made by tanabe? i'm assuming youre talking about a 2.5, since the tanabe on a 3.5 sounds nothing like a fart cannon.
the tanabe is relatively quiet, and drone is definitely not an issue. i've also heard the same for stillen.

in general, im not really partial to any exhaust for the 2.5 since i'm not a fan of that 4banger sound. Mikey did have a pretty nice setup, sounded alright.

forsure just let me wash my car & ill take some new pics...

also i dont think artisans exhaust is what ur lookin 4, if im not mistaken i believe its a full stainless steel straight pipe with just a magnaflow resonator, not subtle or quiet what so ever! so one correct me if.im wrong, but im considering going this route

Also take into consideration an intake! I was more than pleased with my exhaust, but when I took my car out for the first time after installing my intake....... :woot: :woot:

In the end, there's not that much sound you can get out of the 2.5 without sounding rice, unless u go all out. I think an intake would satisfy . Just my opinion.
