I need some new front tires for my s13 pretty badly. When i bought my car, the rears were bald, so i replaced those, but the fronts were still legal so i left em. Now i realize that the fronts are destroying any chance of my car having good handling. The fronts are mismatched, one is a bald on the outer edge 205/60, the other is a cheap tire with most of the tread there that is a 185/60. wtf...there not even even. This is causing understeering, bad steering response, and all kinds of nasty noises under hard cornering up front. I want the car to be really responsive with as much grip as possible up front. The rims are stock sized. Im pretty sure I want to go with 195/55, the lower aspect ratio and small er width should give my car a quicker steering response because of less sidewall flex. Plus... there are no good tires sized 205/60. So there you have it... grip and response.

The bottom two tires on the page below are my top two picks from what I have found.http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...22_=4

Any feedback would be appreciated. Let me know what you think about the tires listed, your reccomendations, problems with going with a smaller overall diameter, ect.

Thanks alot!

Read upa bit more, we've discussed it a lot..

here's the low down:

stick to a 195-60-15 or 205-55-15 or 205-60-15.

My reccomendation is the 205-55-15, in a nice sticky tire like a BFG g-force sport, or Yokohama ES_100....those would be the two better tire for the money. Also, change all four, not just the fornt to avoid handling issues.-Chet
