I'm buying an intercooler from Johnnyracecar.com

They have two size available, here they are:

Core size: 25 wide X 5.875 tall X 2.75 deepThere are nine cooling rows and eight fin rows on this intercooler.

Another one..

Core size: 25 wide X 7.75 tall X 2.75 deepThere are twelve cooling rows and eleven fin rows on this intercooler.

Both 2.5" cold pipe, 2.25" hot pipe.

Bigger Intercooler will cool better but it will drop more pressure or might be oversized. It's hard to figure which one is ideal for my project. They are all same design. My goal is 300WHP and I wonder which size is IDEAL for my KA24E turbo project.

Car spec : 1989 KA24E, Z31 T3, I'll push 11 psi later. Currently 6.7 psi.

I've got the 8" and it's pretty big. Not very tall, but wide, which I liked better because it didn't block much of the radiator. Both of them have proved to cool efficiently past 400whp. I would just go with the 8". It's not much more, you'd have room to increase boost and go bigger turbo's and whatever else, and I honestly don't think you'll notice much pressure loss at all.

yeah, i know i won't notice different but every small thing helps

Anyway, I read turbo like T3 need short but longer core like johnnyracecar, and there was a serious thread about right size intercooler is important, like pressure drops. (but stupid they didn't conclude how big is good!)anyway thanks.any other opinion?
