Thanks to greg for this wheelskins link.. This is definetely the way to go.. I'll worry about the PITA install later..

I'm looking for anyones opinion on what would look best on a black interior Q..

Wheelskins have several options

1. One color for the entire wheel. Which color do you think would look best? Straight black..? They have over 13.. Here is the linkhttp://www.qualitysmart.com/pr...s.htm

2. Two tone.. Two color leather wheel cover as opposed to one. Again what do you guys thik would be the best two tone leather combo, if you like this at all that is.. Link..http://www.qualitysmart.com/pr...e.htm

3. My fav right now.. Perforated leather.. the most expensive option (maybe thats why I like it more)http://www.qualitysmart.com/pr...f.htm

These have several options. You can get one or two tone colors.. You can also choose which parts of the wheel are perforated.

SO if it was up to you, what would you guys choose..

Here is the basic link to all 3.

Wow, those are -quite- nice. Unlike the slip-on variety available at wal-mart, they wont rip apart during installation.

Let me know how it looks when you get it.

All black is best.

Black interior, burgundy Q (I'm guessing this is what you drive?)

Definitely black perforated. Simple, elegant, and kickass.

THEN, hit up JasonB for a smoked maple (charcoal wood) dash kit like the one in the new M.

That will be what I am driving ever so shortly..

Convince me a "tape on" wood kit can look as nice as the wood in the q/m.. even if it is the same wood I am soooo skeptical

Like I said something about the thin wood that tapes on, just doesnt seem like the wood in the newer cars.. the wood is thicker and doesnt paste on to anything.. it was designed with the interior and I swear is thicker.. IE better.

convince me im wrong.. cause the car has a wood kit, and im thinking of going CF..

What do you think about CF?

I just put CF (real, and pricey) in the wife's Pathy.

I can't decide if I like it yet or not. I'm thinking I might have preferred the aluminum to brighten things up, but it's her ride not mine.

Here is my crazy convuleted theory..

Why I dont like wood- I love wood on cars it was designed for. My friends XJR has gorgeous wood. The new Q/M gorgeous.. But this wood is thick, and it was designed with the interior in mind, not just a tape on type thing.. I don't know why but I am unconvinced of aftermarket wood (even if its the same quality as OEM) it just looks cheap flimsy and thin.. Where as the wood in cars are thicker.. they arnt made to simply tape on to the interior..

CF- This is REAL cf.. for some reason it looks better to me even though its a paste on app as well. If you look at cars with CF stock, the kits look exactly the same

Brushed aluminum- gorgeous.. not sure about the Q.. im just not sure anything looks right on the Q, because it wasnt designed for anything.. Anything you put on it its a paste on app im just not sure??

maybe its just me but the thin paste on stuff just doesnt look as good..

I am thinking CF because the car is coming with wood, and I have a feeling i wont like it

the CF is stealthy for sure.. it doesn't really brighten things up at all, but that may be a good thing..

Jason sells one helluva CF kit for the Q. It includes the dash ac panels door panels AND has huge pieces for the lower part of the door.. This also includes the back doors. It fills up that entire gap above the ashtray/lighter..
