I've been trying to find a clean s13 coupe for awhile now and this one popped up!This is what it says on the Cl post

"1992 240SX Coupe

-156,xxx miles-Clean Title-5-Speed Manual-KA24DE Dual Overhead Cam Motor-JDM S13 Silvia Front-End w/ Triple Projector Headlights-Nismo Catback Exhaust-Tokico Blue Shocks/Springs

-Runs well, the DOHC motor still pulls well, and the transmission is very smooth.-Needs EGR system to pass smog, selling as is. Was an out of state car (Nevada), so it needs to be smogged and registered in order to receive CA plates (hence the low price)-Brand new Falken front tires-Very nice project car/daily driver-Great fuel economy

Looking to get $1000 for it. "

Should i jump on it? Im not sure about the whole smog thing and 1k is REALLY cheap yes or no help? The body looks really clean also

That seems to be what those are going for on average in that region of the US. Personally I would hop all over that deal. I don't know what your intentions are for the car, if you're looking for a DD or just a track toy( with the whole smog testing s***, I'm not familiar with that process) but with the aftermarket parts alone, like that silvia conversion, its worth it all day. Even if you just part it out, 'cus those conversions are highly saught after and not a cheep trik. Good luck, and may you soon be sideways with a waft of smoke trailing you!!

It sounds like it may be a good deal. Nevada is very dry and not near a salty body of water, so it will probably be rust free. Check out how much it will cost to get smoged and plated though.

ya the silvia conversion alone is like 400-800if the cars clean and theres no problems with it then just on it!i wish i could of got that for 1000 :'(

The whole smog thing just install the EGR and idk about the nismo catbacki actually dont even know what is in the catback exhaust but if its got a catalytic converter then you should be fine just make sure that cat is red hot when you test it.

THe car is in the bay. I saw this ad on CL this morning and was thinking about calling him to look at it. It looks pretty good but my only concern is the smog sh**. I am currently in the market too for a 240sx and am willing to go anywhere in Cali to get one. Be careful if it's ur DD cuz u will have to smog it and also u have to pay transfer fees to register it from NV to CA.

HAHAHAh. Where are you located in CA? Anywhere near Sacramento? It's so hard to find a decent unmodified 240sx Coupe or Fastback in Cali. Most of them are torn up or fixed up in some way.
