parked the car last night, left it unlocked. the alarm went off as soon as i opened the door this morning. key in the ignition didn't turn it off. had to pull the battery. pulled the 'security' fuse so could reconnect the battery... now the starter won't even roll. interior lights dim to black when you turn the key... kinda like a dead batterey, but no clicking or anything. the key fob has been dead for a couple years now, so i didn't set the alarm. any ideas?

Try try closing all the doors, lock with the key, wait 5 minutes, and then use the key to unlock the doors.

My 93 Maxima does this about once a month. Someone at the Nissan dealership close to me said to take your key and unlock the trunk. It works everytime.
