Help m35 x !!!!!Front drive shaft to front final drive destroyed
So the front ujoint on the driveshaft connecting the spindle to the front final drive (i think best i can come up with) broke. I have seen threads about this problem however none as extreme as mine. Whenever it broke it rubbed a hole in a piece of metal directly above the driveshaft. I am clueless.. i apologize to all you car repair junkies. What is this part? Is this the oil pan... also where the front driveshaft u joints connect to the transmission a huge piece has fallen out of what i believe to be a (front final drive ?) Looks like some type of pinion. It connects directly to ujoint on drive shaft. My question is .. what have i torn up? Transmission ? Can the m35x be driven as a daily driver without the driveshaft in place. Car still moves and drives however i am concerned about just having one axle connected. I am clueless . So please be kind. If anyone has had a similar issue or if you can explain what i am dealing with I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for all your help.
