I have had both.
I would recommend going with the rb25 due to price. I have seen them on ebay for $1600. its going to be a solid motor that you can beat on without having to worry. The KA will take a s*** on you unless you build it.
I had a 240rwhp kat then blew it and then rebuilt it and made 462 blew that.
Now i have the rb25. I beat the hell out of it and it has held up until recently.
Best bang for the money is the rb. The ka you have to spend alot on it to make it sit where the RB sits stock.
you sir are obvliously an idiot, you obviousy dont know how to take care of an engine, much less build one, OP if you decide to go KA-T, make sure you do everything necessary to have a RELIABLE car, the stock KA internals have been proven to handle 300hp, anything over than mark and look to build the bttom end with stronger internals, take care of it and do it right and the KA will still be reliable and plenty of power, and you can go to ny auto parts store for replacement parts, unlike ordering everything with an RB
the Greddy kit is WAY overpriced, you can build your own with more power for less money, if your serious about the KA-T check out
http://www.KA-T.org as well as searching around here
a RB25 is only 1600 were?? even if you can find one for that cheap, you still need a mount kit, unless you can fab your own, wiring, and other supplies, which will cost more than a light KA-T and a stock RB will make less power than almost any well put together KA-T
