I am locked out of my 2013 G37 Sedan somehow. I believe the battery is dead so now my keys won't work to open the doors or the trunk. I need to open the hood to jump the battery?

The 37 doesn't have a keyhole?

If it's a '13 model, you have Roadside Assistance. Call your dealer (or Infiniti) and get it towed.

Ugh. Technology fail. :)

Definitely call Infiniti. You should have Roadside Assistance for the duration of the warranty period.

Well I feel pretty stupid, I downloaded the owners manual and come to find out there is a key hidden inside the electronic key and there is a place to manually open the door with a key.....so was able to get in the car.....the trunk was another story found inside the owners manual as well! DUH!

The real problem is caused by the "no key in the ignition" factor....left the windows open to cool car off in the florida sun...went out to roll them up....but without having to put the key in the ignition you can turn on the accessories power (you know when you used to turn the key part way but not all the way to get the power on)....well once you roll up the windows it's easy to forget to hit the start button again and turn it off....(like in the old days you had to physically turn the key to turn it off)...well I had left it on all day and the battery was dead....(second time in 4 months).....got out of the car and shut the doors.....if you don't try to lock the car you won't know it is still on (I got out of the passenger side).....I did find out that if you try to lock it, it won't give you the beep that it just locked(good thing)....hard to focus though on that when you are in a hurry.....not sure the right answer here for Infiniti to improve this but I am sure I am not the only one that this has happened to.
Thanks for your input! OUT!

One solution would be to use the key to roll the windows up instead of the ACC position. Should be able to put the key in and turn it to lock and hold it to roll the front ones up. Wouldn't work for the back though.

That key is used when leaving the car with a valet

Flip the off switch in the glove box and lock it so no one can access the trunk.

You take the key with you and leave the smart key with the valet

BTW I always carry the smart key in my pocket and just press the button on the door or trunk for access.
Another neat feature of keeping the smart key remote in your pocket is if you are just making a quick stop to run in to the post office or get a coffee you can leave the vehicle running, press the button on the door to lock it and walk away without worrying someone will jump in and drive away.

you can hold down the unlock button on the key fob and it will roll all windows down as long as you hold the button.

take out the hidden key and use it on the driver side, turn key to left and hold, then all windows will roll up as long as you holding key to left. doesnt do sunroof... i thought that was odd...

my 2010 g37x when left in the "Acc" position and all doors closed will automatically turn power off after an hour. thats the battery run down protection.
