I would like to stream Pandora, and the such, from my iphone over the stereo in my 2004 Nissan Murano SL AwD with bose 6 cd and SAT button, but not satellite radio.

From what i have researched.... much better than fm transmitters and cassette adapters and easier than installing something that requires removal of the stereo from the front console (i am a "dummy" with anything mechanical or automotive).....

...I can install an adapter interface, such as the USA Spec. PA15-NIS iPod Adapter (best one around i have read), into the unused SAT cable/port, located somewhere under my back seat and that will work easily and awesomely.

While that sounds easy enough, could someone help me find the specific empty SAT cable/plug? I just want to be sure i have the correct one and dont mess anything up.

thanks in advance.

I have the uPAC-nis1 for my Altima SE-R with 6-disk Bose and SAT button. I've had it for 3-4 years now and like it a lot. It direct synced with radio controls to change track and charged my device. However it only worked with my 2nd gen Itouch and not my iPhone 4s. I use the audio jack now with great sound, it just doesn't charge it. It's been a while since ive installed it. If I remember right the SAT Input is labelled as that or as aux input. The customer service was very helpful and it worked troubleshooting the install. I purchased mine from crutch field and it came with a packet with info on everything you need to disassemble the dash.

You will need to remove the stereo to get to the back plugs both power and SAT button. This will also make it easier to route the cable to where it can be used in the center console for your device. I highly doubt that that the plug is under your back seat. FM transmitters are junk. Even the $100 ones that make a dock for your phone.

yea, i don't want to mess with taking the stereo out (nor have any idea how). that is what makes the pa15-infi so good. it's (supposedly) simple plug and play into the empty SAT cable/plug (where ther factory SAT receiver would be) located somewhere under the back seat.

Taking the head unit out is easy, you will be surprised. If you have a helper, it's very easy. There are videos on youtube showing exactly how.

I installed the PA15-NIS in the back of the radio and now have 2 cables, an AUX and an iPod adapter. I usually just end up using the AUX and control Pandora through the phone.

I doubted it originally when you said about the connections being in the back seat. MuranoDriver has confirmed it. I you buy the device from crutchfield they will provide a booklet with pictures and easy instructions on how to remove every audio component from your specific car. I'm not trying to be annoying, just want you to know there is no way around removing the head unit. :)

the pa15-nis only goes in the back of the radio, but i''m talking about the pa15-infi, which can plug into the empty sat received 16 pin connector located under the back seat, but your radio needs to have the SAT button, whether you have sat or not

I believe this is true and I thought about going this route but decided against it for some reason, I cannot fully remember right now.

I got mine from here... http://ipodcarpros.com/
They had great service, are an authorized dealer, price matched another site, and have free tech support. :)

Don't know if this will help you, but a while ago I was looking for the XM tuner in a 2011 Murano. I found it was not under the back seats but behind them. There are spring loaded flaps connected to the floor that normally press up against the backs of the rear seats and go down as the seats are put down. I lifted up the passenger side flap when the seat was down and the tuner was right there underneath the flap, behind the seat.

If you are having trouble finding where it is you could try looking for instructions on installing the sat tuner in the car.
