Hello everyone! I am about to jump the gun and get a 2015 nissan rogue. I would like some help. This is my first time leasing a car and I would like to know if this is a good price or not? I think it is a bit overpriced, but you are smarter than I am.

2015 Nissan Rogue SV
w/ AWD family package and SV premium package (nissan website has for $29,225 with destination and handling included)

The dealership is giving me the following:

Selling Price: $29,625.00

Discount: $2,125.00

Selling Price: $27,500

Residual %: 57%

Residual value: $16,887.25

Money factor: 0.00066

Maryland Tax: 6%

Admin Fees: $300.00

Tag/License Fees: $279.00

Lease options: All are for 15k miles/yr

-> 36 months w/ 500 down = $403.00
-> 36 months w/ 1K down = $368.00
-> 36 months w/ 2K down = $359.00

----------------break---------------

I hope I am right, but I did my own calculations with the numbers above and got the following:

36 months & 15k miles/yr

$0 down

Monthly $324.29 + (19.45 for tax) = $343.75

This did not take into account the $300 for admin fees & $279.00 tags/license fees, which I could give down.

My questions is why is it more on their part and am I missing something?

Thank you for all and any help. I am new at this and if I missed anything please let me know.

Thanks,

I'm honestly not 100% sure how leasing work (I'm getting there), but will send a feeler out to some others to help you out.

When I leased my Leaf, the dealer gave me the detail of the transaction. You are probably forgetting something or the dealer is charging an extra fee you don't know about.
Have them give you the detail so you can compare with your numbers and see where the difference comes from. My dealer was pretty transparent about it. You have the right to know what you pay for.

Well here is my lease of 2015 Rogue Sv AWD. Gross Cap cost was 27383.22 reduced cost reduction =1636.12 adj cap cost 25747.10. the residual value at end of lease is 15764.40. This gave me a 298.47 lease price and with Indiana 7% tax 319.36 Month for 36 months. This is the third Rogue lease every two years I turn it in and get the new Rogue. Have gone to two different shops. Give tem mine and take theirs with first payment 30 days down line. At this stage of game Rogue is almost over the 2016 should be in dealer showroom. Push for lower payment.

Are you subtracting the residual from the selling price or the MSRP? You are supposed to calculate your monthly payment based on the MSRP.

Screwy math, and I promise I will never lease a vehicle again. Ive learned my lesson with my 2015 Rogue. You should just buy it. What is there to lose with 0% financing?
