Well I started the sr for the first time today. Started right up after 2 cranks and idled nicely then the rpm dropped a little and I could see the engine was shaking, but that might have been from my loose engine mount lol. I went to start it a second time and heard a loud bang and then saw the 4th injetor was leaking out from where it goes into the manifold. ( the big rubber bushing) I think it banged because when I pulled out the 4th plug there was a small puddle of gasoline on the piston from it leaking into the cylinder.

I pulled the rail out and lost 3 of those little spacers that go between the rail and the manifold FML! I need to find thembut I could see that gas was just leaking drip after drip from the bottom of the injector. Then I pulled the injector out of the rail and the spark plug out. I can see liquid (gas) ontop of the piston. NOTE: I do not have pintile caps on the nozzles of both 1 and 4 injectors because they broke off, though 1 is not leaking. Also I replaced all the inector orings before dropping the engine in.

I feel like I want to replace 1 and 4 injectors because even though cylinder 1 was not flooded at all I could still see the plug was a little wet. I Also think the pintle caps will help secure the lower oring and maybe help it stop leaking.I relubed the orings and popped it back in place and tightened it down I'm going to check the spray pattern tomorrow and see if it helps the leak

Any help pleaseee? I'm in pain after a long weekend

you dont need the injector pintle caps, mine was running fine w/o them.

It lives!!!!!!! just bolted up my welded diff and driveshaft and slid it around my coldasack with no exhaust so f**kin loud but damn i'm so happy lol

Still got the little idle problem, gonna check to see if i have vacuum leaks tomorrow and what not. Possibly the IACV? I cleaned it nicely during my rebuild though.
