i just bought a 5 speed '95 nissan 240sx with a ka24, and it seemed fine and drives nice, but i parked it in my driveway overnight and there was a nice puddle of either oil or transmission fluid, im pretty sure its oil its kinda black, its leaking out from where the motor and transmission join. could this be a bad seal or anything else?? please help thanks

first you need to be 100% sure what it is blackish/brownish is oil redish/blackish is dirty a$$ trany fluid. if your sure its oil then its your rear main seal

i talked to the guy i bought it from, he said its the front shaft seal where it joins with the transmission, he also said the oil pan has a bad seal, but he intended on puttin a turbo on so he didnt mind that problem, so its probably the front shaft seal, does this make sense?
