WIRING
This is a thouroughly brought up topic but I need more detail or help ... I have looked at FSM diagrams, searched this board among others and can't seem to come up with anything and its very frustrating and time consuming ... so here's my situation ...
I've been doing a single to dual swap for sometime now as a project and working to get it to my daily driver ... one problem I have is the wiring. I have an ECU, Engine, and Wiring Harness (one that goes from engine and then enters firewall) from a 1992 240SX HB ... I've got everything inside the engine bay to match up yada yada ... and it goes into the ECU .... BUT! The wire set/group that extends past the ECU up to the dash harness did not match up (the plugs didn't) ... so we cut the wires behind each plug and hooked the ones up that matched by color ... however the remaining 6 wires are different colors on each harness (the dash vs. the one coming from ECU) b/c of the swap ... I was wondering if someone could give me a CLEAR understanding of what the colors represent so that I may mate up the wires ... I've looked at FSM diagrams and struggled with this for awhile ... it's prolly something really simple and I'm an idiot ... if so, so be it as long as my wiring gets done .... Thanks in advance, I really appreciate the help.
