Maybe your clutch is bad? Check fluids in transmission and diff.

okwell i will check all fluids first thing tommorow,

and about the fan thing, my fan once or twice completely stopped while i was driving, and i had to get out of car and move the fan cover which had stopped it couple times, but now its fixed and i think that might have ruined the fan

you think ? how can i fix the fan?

is this an automatic transmission?

I think it is based on the vid. It is definitely in need of help. seems to be slipping profusely, maybe a bad torque converter or something.

Time for a 5spd swap

if the fan is sized, buy a new clutch or install aftermarket electric cooliong fans

ITS A 5 SPEED TRANSMISSION

so the clutch is out basically?why do i need cooling fans when the fan spins? i meant that my fan got caught couple times and completely got stoppped and engine ran for 3 mins with out fan spinning.

engine does get hot tho.

ps. new radiator last month

The fan clutch not the clutch.

Yeah your clutch might me around $120 and installed around $300. I'm pretty sure it's your clutch that's worn

P.S. I'm talking about the clutch for transmission, not fan clutch...

I CAN SWITCH CLUTCH MY SELF?

I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE IN CLUTCH.BUT ENGINE WWISE YES.

OK WEL HERES THE DEAL.

i got 1178$ from insurance , and to fix the body of my 240 is about 500$ if i do it myself... but then theres the clutch... i dont know if i should pay to get it done because i have no clue about clutch and i dont know how much a clutch would cost in a auto mechanics.

so if the clutch is less than 700$ then i will do what you guys say,,,,and i found a 240sx 1993 120K miles. for 1200$...... so either fix my car or buy a new one ..

and ... how do i check the clutch to take a look.

is it easy?

You can do a clutch swap yourself just search for a writeup on how to do it. And of course having a friends is a must to easily drop the transmission. Shouldn't cost much more than 150 if you do it yourself.

Yeah there is a write up on checking the transmission fluid on here.

Here is the link:http://www.240sxtech.com/

Look for the Transmission and Drivetrain section. You will find everything you need to know there.

Clutch swap cost you $15 in gear fluid and probably 4hrs for labor. I can do in 2 Shops usually charge 250-250 for labor. I got a guy that does it for 100 Make sure you resurface your flywheel.
