There is no such thing as a chip in a Nissan ECU. Unfortunately, everything is soldered in, and "chips are not able to be replaced/upgraded.

For an '04 Maxima, the biggest power boosters you can get would be, Headers and exhaust, and an intake. You can get a reflashed UCE from Technosquare or run a piggy back ECU like the Greddy Emanage Ultimate.

If you wanted to go all out, you could get THIS, and have a super badassed Maxima

It would take more than just a Z ECU to get Z power out of the Maxima motor--there are more differences than just the computer separating the two motors. The Z has a different intake and exhaust system that are much more power-friendly, for instance.

The new Z is a different story altogether. The VQ35HR has a twin intake and is a much different animal than the VQ35DE in the Maxima.

Thanks for the help... Any place that u would recomend to get the intake, headers and exhaust. With this all being said it is still the "family car" so i would like it to stay quiet untill my foot gets into it. Like i said i more familiar with building muscle type cars so i feel dumb when it comes to there computer type deals. Thanks again.

Oh what is a good budget for getting say another 100+ hp. My brother in law has a charger hemi and my goal in to kick his ***

100 HP. That will cost a lot of Money. Plain and simple. Headers first, then wait on the intake and exhaust until after vthe supercharger. Once the supercharger is on, a good exhaust shop will be able to give you what you need for exhaust, and the intake will not be the same as a standard aftermarket. If you are still not sure that you will stomp your bro, get a nitrous setup. NXExpress is the way to go. At this point you will havew a lot invested in this car, so to not ever have to worry about detonation and destroying the engine, get this.
