HELP !!!! just bought 240sx 95 A/T what should I do with it "max project $5000"

I just bought 240sx 95 automatic for $300. I changed shock to KYB AGX already it's cost me about $370I also install the windows class (passenger side was broken ) cost $150Now I am woking on the body and stereo system (it's black color right now in bad shape.) I dont' know what to paint or what kind of design should I put in the car any suggestion ???

I also want to do something with the engine I have read a lot of forum but I still have no idea what to do please give me suggestion about this 1) rebuilt it ??? 2) swap it ? I also wonder where to buy those part if anyone could help me.

P.S. all i really ask is if you have $5000 right now what would you do with this car ??? I will listen to anybody and please when you suggest please give me the detail and where to buy them

Put your money in the bank. Wait, then look for parts for your car, when you find all the parts buy them at once including the turbo kit and with the interests that you get, head over to Mcd's or you can always throw a house party with that money and get some with the ladies ; )

deffinitly swap to 5-speed if you are concidering it. When you do that throw in a nice clutch. Get body work and decent paint job. Replace what you need to replace. Drive the car to see if you like it. I'm sure you can always make you make your monwy back at this point. Then decide from there on. Also what condition is the engine in.

the engine is ok I guess the compression test is like 170, 160, 155,150. what do i need to swap to 5 speed ? do i need to swap the differential too ? and should I turbo it ??? also I just would like to know if I turbo it will it run or have advantage then sr20 ???

if youre on a budget ($5K is a good budget), go with KA-T. Those compression numbers dont look great, but I'm sure someone can tell you what could be the cause. You can always find a used KA with 5spd transmission for $3-500.For the 5spd swap, it would be best to find access to someone's parts car. YOu need/want pedals, clutch master and slave cylinders, some flywheel components, and a few other thing I cant remember. Theres a sticky about auto to manual swap.

IWannaS15 you said that I go with KA-T you mean turbo it right ?what do I have to do to turbo it should I change the piston ?

Depends on how much power are you looking for…

I would spend 2 grand on a basic turbo kit…a search on the KA-T forum will reveal more information then you ever wanted to know

and 1500 on suspension
