I just purchased a set of JIC upper camber plates, used, from a reputable company i have dealt with in the past. I discovered after i recieved them that they are off of a coilover setup, but the guy who sold them says they will still work on a standard spring/strut setup. Looking at the stock upper strut mount and these ball mounts, the stock one has a bushing integrated into the lower part of the mount that rests on the upper spring pearch. The JIC plates do not, they have a spacer that doesnt even come close to matching the height required to get the plates out of the recess of the spring pearch. Also, the top strut nut that comes with the plates (to go thru the heim joint) is entirely a different size. The guy says that all 240s use the same upper strut nut, but that the struts i have (KYB GR2s) use a different one. Does anyone know how to install these things? They are identical to the HKS pillow ball mounts and i would assume to the Tein ones as well. Any help would be great!
