HELP!! j 30 is dead

it started fine this morning put it in gear and it died now it wony start again acts like it wants to but just wont start almost like its out of time would a cam position sensor cause this

I could'nt tell u for sure but my j did the same thing it was my cam sensor ! When i bought my j it needed an engine so when i swaped the engine out i saved all the extra parts so i had a extra cam sensor !!those things are not cheap

1993 161,000tbelt at 90k check engine light did not flash im in the process of getting the ecu out but its like -10 here today so i didnt get to far

Oh man Fingers don't work at -10 !!!You don't need to take the ecu out.Just get the mount screws out and spin it till you can get to the back.Why they designed it that way makes me think they don't like us American's lolAfter that do the procedure that's a sticky on this forum and report back.ODB1 is the codes you need.

yeah im thinkin cam sensor anyone have a giude on how to replace a cam postion sensor ?? ill have the codes here in a few hours just waiting for to get above 0 before i try it

ok i got the ecu out and it gave me a code of 5-5 or 55 anyone know what this is ????

if it jumped time would it throw a code ??or would the cam sensor throw a code

well after getting frost bite im going to take it to a shop and have them look at does anybody have any lube i can borrow LOL
