the picture speaks a thousand words

the one word im hearing loudly is AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

ok..ummm what are my options? what could i do?

1. Are there any of you who have an extra i could buy and pay NEXT DAY shipping for 1?

2. Would welding it work?

3. If custom bracketing is INEVITABLE, could i possibly use a HIGHER amp or DUAL OUTPUT alternator?

ima cry....

Man, that is fine. Call a place near you that has an arc welder. They can tack that back with ease. You could also upgrade to a new alternator, I modded a piece of heavy sheet metal and fit a bigger one to my rx7 in about 30 minutes.

Will ANY alternator work if a custom bracket is made?

No, some alternators have different types of wiring, and some go on motors that rotate opposite from normal. You can probably use any type of alternator that uses the same style wiring as the ca. think they have only one wire out and a ground.
