Post

hey there

this is getting closer to my 100 annoying post, also, I DROVE THE CAR TO WORK FOR SECOND TIME

Its working alright. I fixed the start on it. just the spark plugs were wet.

ok, heres what happened.

I turn the car, everythings alright, but when i accelerate, it shakes and its not smooth as it always is. not sound wise, not vibration wise.

I am pretty sure, its not the injectors. it dosnt vibrate that much.

just when it dosnt get it right.not long ago i placed a new MAF on it (its actually used...shhh >_>)and it seemed to work fine..if you ask ignorant me, id say its the maf. it reminds me as when you drive with it off..you accelerate...and it does whatever it feels like...accelerate, stop, rev but no move. who knows.

YET! the first time I drove to work, it didnt bug me like that at all.

NOW! I've cleaned the spark plugs during the weekend. there was some oil inside that my friend poured in.but i just took em out, sprayed em with brake cleaner and let em dry to the sun. the spark plug holes were opened to the air..now you may think, well something might have got in and you're missing some spark..it could be. if it is, how would you resolve that?

if it is the maf?

I think im going to go buy new spark plugs just in case.although, the car does turn instantly. (for the first time ever)

I've made this post too long but i hope i gave enough information. sure its never enough, but heres something.

hope someone give me a hand with this.

anyway.

feel free to AIM me to:makushikun

I would test the MAF before buying a new one. Also why is your friend pouring oil on your spark plugs? Or is he pouring it in the cylinder? Also did you gap the plugs or just throw them in?

I coulnt test em. a buddy sent it to me.it seemed to wok fine for a while..if it IS the problem.

hes pouring oil INTO the cylinder yes. sorry i didnt express myself properly.I dont know what you mean by gapping the plugs.

I know one of em , the ceramic on it was broken into pieces..sort of bad.so im gonna go get a new one soon. see what it does.i didnt think it'd be much of a problem.

Ya if the ceramic is broken thats probably you problem cause its probably arcing to the head. Tell your friend to leave your car alone and go pour his oil elsewhere. I dunno if your running stock or what but spark plug gap is the gap between the center electrode and side electrode. If your running a stock setup find out what gap that is...I dunno personally. That should solve your problem I bet.

my friend knows tons more than me. i cant say anything to him cuz i dont know.prolly you should find out whats that for.i know its related to compression.

yes, im gonna change the spark plugs for new ones soon enough, see if that fixes the problem. i hope no pieces fall inside though.

Its called a wet compression test and its usually like a teaspoon at max, but really unnecessary still in your situation. Glad its all fixed. Enjoy.
