i have orderd a set of stance solid diff bushing. i have been looking and it looks like i might be able to install these without removing the diff(looking for anyone who has expenrance to chime in), by simply removing one mount at a time and pulling out the rubber and put in new solid mount, then move to the next.... can someone tell me if this will work???

From my understanding, (my SPL bushings will hopfully go in next weeked) the old bushings have to be burned out. Not really a safe thing to do with a gas tank right above you. I guess if your in a pickle, you could drill repeated holes in the bushing and maybe get a small hand saw in there to cut out the sleeve.

To get the new bushing in, since you have no room to use a mallet or press, you could get a 5" bolt and nut with 2 large washers and tighten the bolt until both are seated.

This is all theory, I have yet to replace mine, but I was just going to take the entire subframe out.

Wow I am retarted, I could have sworn I read solid subframe bushings. As for the s14 diff help, sorry, can't help you there.

i just installed mine with it in the car, i used a flat blad screw driver and hammer and hit the rubber bushings out then i took a sawzall and cut the bushing race out then used an air hammer with a flat blade piece and air hammered the race out then the solid aluminum bushing fell right in on the top but the bottom i had to use a rubber mallot and tap them in and then bolted them down. i did this at my work on a lift so it only took me about 15-20 minutes. if your doing it on jack stands you mind as well drop the diff cause it will be a pain if you dont have the tools i did. its not hard just un bolt the axles, drive shaft and diff mounting bolts and it drops out. you will notice more drivetrain noise and also vibrations at high speeds 85mph+ feels like a solid chassis race car. but its well worth it, your wheel hop is pretty much eliminated.

well, i did this EASYEST WAY EVER! drove car on to these stands i have, unscrewed one diff. bolt out at a time (total of only 2 bolts) pulled out the old rubber, put solid mounts in its place and tighened back up. THATS IT

my first rubber mount litterally rip and was very easy. the second mount i poked with a flathead screwdriver and pulled with vice grips to rip it out.

I ONLY HAVE SUBFRAME COLLORS AND THESE SOLID DIFF BUSHINGS AND MY ENTIRE REAR END CLUNK IS GONE!!! NO MORE WHEEL HOP!!! rear strut bar helps alot also!!!
