Help Installing LED Strips Link to opening door, dome light

I have a Nissan Sentra 2010 S.

I want to wire LEDs in my car so that when the door opens, the led will turn on, and when the door closes or when the dome light turns off the LEDs will turn off.
I have found the dome light wires I believe and they are located in the Pillar of the driver side. The wires that I see are Red/ Yellowish stripe wire, solid red wire, purple or bluish wire, black wire (which is the ground wire), White/ Red stripe wire, and Solid Green Wire.

I want to know which wires I can tap into that will allow me to have the lights come on when they should and turn off when the door closes.

I'd pop the cover off the dome light and see exactly what wires are going to it, then just tap into one of them, and ground.

I looked at that FSM post, and pdf page 90/122 seems to be going in the direction you need.

Hi Nakarin, welcome to NicoClub. I see you posting in response to a 5 year old thread. Maybe the same users are still around, maybe not. If you look at the top left corner of a post, you can see a date for when it was made. I'm glad you searched a bit before starting a new thread, but if you can't find the answer already existing, try finding a more current thread or start your own to get the most views and responses.

Anyway, as Papa Smurf was suggesting, you should just tap into the hot wire for the dome light and ground to your chassis, or you could be looking at a wiring diagram for your car and picking a different location to add your wires.
