Help installing gauge cluster (removal of all the bs)

Man, I ran into some troubles tryin do this. I got a kmh cluster and wanna put that in but I cant get the damn thing out of the car. I've tried and tried removing the housing but the steering wheel keeps getting in the way. My book for the car says to remove the steering wheel to get the housing off but I couldnt even get the steering wheel off. How did ya'll go about doing this? Any sugestions/help woudl be aprpeciated. Thanks

in my car, just removed the HUD controls and the buttons to the side of the steering wheel, then unbolted the steering colum, and the gauge cluster cleared everything fine.

In an s13 it is easier to just drop the steering column. Only a couple of bolts and a lot less hassle.
