I purchased, used, a set of blizzak snow tires with ASA (most likely from Tirerack) wheels. The rears, 225/55/17 went on with no issue. The fronts however, 225/50/17, will not go on because of a bolt located on the wheel hub in between where 2 lug nuts will screw in. There is enough room/clearance with the stock 19's, but not the winter wheels.

I have been told by the person who I purchased the wheels from that this bolt can be removed, allowing the wheel to be put on correctly. Does anyone know if this is true and will not cause harm to my car??

Thanks

Yes, you can remove it. I and others had to remove them to run spacers.

It's just a phillips screw with a 1/2"-ish collar. Comes right off.
