I'm new to the whole JDM movement. I was trying to install a short ram intake on my car when i came a problem. The stock intake has a hose thats connected to the intake underside where it curves and connects to the throttle body. The intake I purchased doesn't have this. All the other hose connections are there, except for that one. The hose just leads downward and connects to something else. My question is, what is this and does it matter if my aftermarket intake doesn't have a connection for it. The car is a 93 240sx (S13)? Any help would be great, thanks.

If its the hose that connects to a small plastic box mounted on the fan shroud, then you dont need to hook it back up. Its just a resonator box.

Just out of curiosity, what does the resonator box do? I removed it a long time ago when I stripped the engine bay and I always wondered what it was for..........
