A few days ago my Infiniti I30 car alarm goes off without anyone around. The wind is not blowing or no other objects are around the vehicle. It has happened for three days now going off about every thirty minutes. What could be the issue here? Even if you lock the car manually by the auto-locks on the driver door control, the alarm goes off after approx. thirty minutes.

Welcome to NICO.

What year is your I30?

Have you had any problems with your car being difficult to start?

It could be one of the door switches or the one under the hood.

Thanks for the welcome Scott.

The Infiniti I30 is a 2001. I haven't had problems with the car starting at all. The lights are bright and the horn is not weak at all when the alarm goes off.

Could it be the factory remote battery for the key going bad?

IIRC, even on my '98 Maxima, there is no way to lock the doors and not arm the alarm unless you leave a window down and lock the doors after you close them..

It sounds like a faulty sensor or a short somewhere though. Just take out the anti-theft fuse until you get it fixed would be my suggestion.

Great suggestion Maverick, I will get on that right away.

I will check out those sensors on all doors and hoods as well.

Thanks again.
