I've had plans for sometime now my ka, but figured with all the time and money that I could spend making a custom supercharger or turbo set up, I could have an sr and be sure that it works efficiently and correctly. I'm looking for an sr motorset for my 240 and have visited many-a-sites, the cheapest motor that I could find was 1200 bucks, free shipping. It mentioned that it included a/c, p/s, alternator, intake manifold, and small essential things, and an okay warrenty, as well as compression and basic tests. Does anyone here have a good provider/know a person who knows a person that could set up a good deal, or have a place that they themselves got a good deal on the SR? Any information that anyone can turn up, I appreciate the help.

Search for reputable places to buy a motorset.

If you want a "deal" don't even bother, you're just wasting your money.

Sheesh, the whole point was to get an idea of places that other members have had good experiences with, not so much for money. The only time I mentioned cash was the best price for the motor I've found so far.

yea, 1200 is way too good to be true. i don't see why you didn't search to begin with. this subject has been talked about waaaay too much. if your looking for a deal, i would recommend finding a private seller that you can trust. this is where research comes into play. paid 2100 shipped for mine. that's the "standard" package you get from HT and enjuku.

Thanks a bunch nisimostate. Thats not to bad a price, when looking I saw upwards of 3k. Its hard not to be a little worried because the engines can be 11 or more years old. But thanks, for the price and helping me out.

I'de say use heavy throttle any where else you are taking a pretty huge chance.

I would say that anything under $2,200 in the current market you are taking a HUGE chance. Parts will be missing/broken and probably have a cut harness. Not only that, but the entire motor may be bad. For motor sets I would definetely stay with someone like Heavy Throttle, Phase 2, etc. For front clips I would go with Cardinal Performance as I bought my clip from him. I have also seen and heard good things about Jarco.
