hey guys, I searched the forums trying to find out what might be my problem but I'm not too sure of what my problem might be and I'm really in a pinch. So here are the symptoms:1990 240sx w/ about 181,000 miles KA24E

I had been driving for just under 45 minutes when I stopped on a hill for a light, when I tried to go the car stalled (didn't think anything of it) - stalled another 3 times on me (been driving for years and I don't stall often - so I was worried) - got the car to hold idle and started to give it gas to get going and the car hesitated and shook w/ any added gas or rpm...

As I tried to get back to campus the car was continuing to hesitate and shudder whenever I gave it gas - I also was smelling what I thought to be oil

I also noticed that the car seemed to be backfiring through the intake (the whole poping noise coming from the front of my car - and pretty loud too - whenever I let off the gas it was the worst)

I got the car parked and poped the hood... the back of the air intake was smoking bad... white to bluish smoke... didn't really smell like oil as much as it did brake fluid (strange I know)

I looked at the brake fluid reservior and it was b/w max and min - I had filled it on friday... I have been noticing that the car leaked brake fluid from somewhere - I just was unable to locate the leak - not at the wheels and no real visible leaks near or around the master cylinder...

Now my question: would it be possible for a seal to have gone that would allow the engine to suck brake fluid from the master cylinder into the vaccum line and then into the intake and burn attempt to burn the fuel??????

PLEASE ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

no, the brake booster and the cylinder itself are isolated from one another. if it leaked enough into the booster, i suppose it could fill it to the point were the line connects, but by that point you should have considerable brake problems (like the brakes doing nothing).pop the hose off and see if it is filled with fluid, that will tell you your answer right away.
