hey guys so my car has been running horribly ever since i had work done to it almost like a missfire but i removed each coilpack connecter and car idled worse for esach of them. it also has no power above 3k rpms. i had z1 ecu upgrade, 120k kit, jecs 550cc injectors with adapter kit, dual air intake, aluminum pullys, full exhaust, egr delete, aiv delete, ac delete, plenum waterline delete.. and i think that is it.. well the problem is the guy that was working on my car im pretty sure he didnt know what he was doing.. he ended up removing the plenum multiple times to replace injector orings and im pretty sure he just hit them to get them out...... now my cars been having white smoke coming from driversside plenum area and exhaust so i was thinking maybe an oring. so i removed the plenum turned the fuel rail upsidedown and the injector i thought it was fell right out.. so i replaced the orings for that injector put everything back together and car runs the same.. but after awhile ALOT of smoke started coming out from both sides of exhaust and engine bay and i see liquid driping onto pass side turbo... the smoke is white and my neighbor said it smells like a mixture between oil and fuel... help me please.. sorry for my essay i failed engish..

forgot to add my neighbor said it sounds like a timing issue, could this guy have installed the timing belt off? or maybe i just need a whole new set of injectors and install them properly? i will compression test tomorrow.

Yikes, so much information. If the fuel injector just fell out, then they were not installed properly. It sounds like he just put the caps on and tightened them down. You need to either use your hand, or VERY carefully use a pair of pliers to push firmly down on the injector while gently turning it side to side until it pops into place. Once it does this, you should be able to gently pull on it, and it stays in place.

Coolant and oil would sound more like a head gasket problem to me.

Have you checked timing with a light yet? Verified your MAF and CAS are working correctly? Pulled ECU codes?

What spark plugs are you using? For your TT should be PFR6B-11B if stock boost or BKR7E11EIX (too lazy to confirm thats exactly right) up to 16lbs of boost.

My timing belt was off one tooth at the crank and would run okay until about 50% throttle at which point it would start stuttering and everything else.

Have you checked the ECU for codes? Might not be the problem, but it is an easy check.

My car ran like crude due to a bad coolant sensor connection. It kicked and bucked and blew out lots of whitish smoke.

It was also running poorly another time due to a bad mass flow controller connection. In this case, the car went into a "safety mode" and literally would not go above 3000 rpms.

i checked the codes and i got what you got coolant temp sensor code.. replaced it ecu now says no problems and car still idles like crap and still smell fuel and see smoke.. im going to check timing tomorow. if timing is fine i guess ill have to replace all orings and if it still runs like this i guess i need new injectors..

All the PCV Valves are the same. They are like $11/each new for OEMs. You can also very easily test them by taking them off and shaking them, they should audibly click side to side.

Never hurts to check the TPS, either. http://z32.wikispaces.com/Throttle+Position+Sensor . I had a bad connection to mine that was causing it to read full throttle, while idling which caused some really weird issues. However, you would only pick up on that with a diagnostic program like ECUTalk, ConZult, etc. Well, I guess you should probe the pin at the ECU, put thats a PITA.

ok cool. now is there any way to check if timing is off a tooth without removing like half of the engine bay??... :(

Not that I'm aware of. If you want to play with the Z32, you gotta get comfy with pulling the front of the engine off from time to time. Ultimately its not horrible.

Regarding PCV valves, I had a problem with my car blowing white smoke for a few seconds at start-up after it had set for a bit. I thought it might be bad valve seals or <gasp> a blown head gasket.

It turned out it was just bad PCV valves. Replacing them isn't supposed to be hard, but mine were a bit of a pain. The write-ups I found said you can just "push back" the rubber hose that connects the PCV valve to the engine, but mine were so old the rubber had hardened to the point it was basically a hard plastic. I had to cut the hoses in half, and then pull them out. After that, the came out fine.

And mine still "clicked" when shook, but it was clear that they were not ok, since when I put the new ones in the car stopped smoking and I'm pretty sure it is running MUCH better now. Much much more power.

I'd just grab the silicone hose sets and be done with it. Hell, if I had to it all over again, I'd just start by replacing every single rubber hose in the bay silicone or new rubber hoses if there isn't silicone.
