Hello, this is my first turbo charged engine, so please excuse my rookie question. I need a little help identifying a part on my RB20DET, is this my wastegate ? Its a T fitting and it's labled HKS. Thanks

OK not going to flame, but be more careful and search.

1. Assuming you have stock turbo, your wastegate is part of your turbo so not that is not that.

2. the hose is just a vacuum hose used to control your FPR (fuel Pressure Regulator) the FPR is boost dependant meaning that as boost increases so will the pressure.

3. that "T" fitting was more than likely used to attach a Aftermarket HKS Boost Gauge. Just cap the end for now if you dont have an extra boost gauge.

Thanks ... I didnt have a clue on what to search for, thought showing a picture would be more helpfull.

I'll cap or just remove the HKS "T" fitting for now, untill I get a boost gauge.

That's also kind of an odd place for someone to T in a boost gauge, so you want to just replace that tube all together and when you get a boost gauge T in over by the blow off valve. That way your tube going to your gauge will be a hell of a lot shorter.

Alot of boost controllers recommend T-ing off that line for the controller's boost sensor. I hate the idea of molesting the signal to the FPR and prefer to find another spot to do that with but its a very common porcedure for boost controllers.
