hey hello there..
i have a pathfinder 1994 and i want to lower it from stock lift to about 2 inches lower..
i dont know too much about it but i was doing some researches and im not sure if buying a kit of air bag suspension will help.. i found a kit of two air bags for $90 so i guess i need to buy two sets (Firestone Air Bag Suspension Kit)
I dont know if im right but i think you can set the lift by the pression of the Air on the bags, but im not sure if i install them i will be able to lower it or its gonna be the same lift as stock.. i need help!!

Firstly, welcome to NICO!

If you want your original post to get a little more exposure you can bump the original thread and it will move it to the top of the forums so it's the first one people see when they come onto the forum. Also, the forum traffic has decreased quite a bit since the big changeover a couple of days ago and people are getting used to the new layout. I'm sure there will be someone who can help you answer your question on the forums within a day or two.

you're encouraging him to double post this thread?

anyway, the firestone air bags are helper bags to be used in conjunction with coil springs. you can not lower the rear of your pathfinder by simply adding the helper bags. you need to purchase lowering coils, cut your coils, or have custom coils wound.

it is absolutely impossible to use the firestone helper bags on the front. the front suspension uses torsion bars. there is nowhere to install them. you could try "un-cranking" the torsion bars but i don't think it will ever lower it. you'll need to reindex them or have custom keys made.

No, I was encouraging him to bump the original thread instead of making a duplicate thread (this is the duplicate thread).

Alexrex pretty much nailed that one on the head.

BUT

you can in fact lower the front by simply uncranking the front torsion bars. Its very easy. All you need is a 17mm socket, a 17mm wrench, and a couple of minutes. Loosen the anchor arm adjuster bolt on the rear of the torsion bar (where it connects to the frame). A lot of people do it down in mexico for some reason. It's the style there.

for the rear, i would purchase lowering coils. I believe http://www.4x4parts.com might sell them.
