So i'm driving up my girl friend's street in 2ed gear at about 5-6psi of boost. while i'm driving i hear a loud knocking sound coming from the motor. I'm assuming its a knocking rod. I did a compression test shortly after and here are my results:

Driver side from front to back:

150psi160psi146psi

Passenger side front to back:

152psi120psi155psi

I'm taking it to Nissan in the morning to see if i can get an exact diagnosies on it. I know some of you guys have had the same experiance i want to know what happen in your all cases. thanks.

I have the greddy TT kit along with an e-manage and a J&S safegaurd.

The compression test results don't look encouraging. Probably looking at at lease bad rings. I'd guess the piston has some damage as well.

I am concerned about the 120psi reading there. You should really do a leakdown test. Compression testing only tells you that there is an issue. Doesn't tell you anything about whether it is with your valves or your rings.

If it's time to rebuild, get some forged internals in there and upgrade your turbos/fuel

sounds bad, time for a sleeved darton block!

I have been considering a forcefed 350z lately, and still want one but it seems the Z33 blocks are not up to the abuse of other Z generatiosn, the good news is that there is already an improved aftermarket block on the market and at $1300 it honestly not a bad deal, especially when it comes bored up to 100mm (total displacement 3.8L) even got a stroker crank to tkae it up to 4.2! I will be amoung your ranks but with the investment that it's gonna be it'll have to wait a year or 2
