Help, i think i need new shocks

in my car, when i am on the gas then push in the clutch to shift, the car makes a real loud popping noise when i let off. something also rattles(sounds like shocks also) as i'm pulling out of my garage. All my dustboots are torn, so i figure its time for new suspension componets. I went through one whole semester of suspension auto tech class, so i know my suspension stuff. i just want to get some other opinions. So if i do need new ones im thinking kyb agx w/ tien s-tech springs and could someone tell me where i can rent or buy a spring compressor? Thanks in advance

autozone and most auto parts stores will lend you one, (IE buy it and return it) dont know why they call it lend. push down on each corner of your car, if it bounces more than once, the strut is blown. you might need to get front strut mounts also if yours ahve never been changed
