The other day I was installing the harness for the lap and drill in the fuel tank I believe, I drill right behind the passenger front seat without even thinking , is there some type of kit that can withstand fuel eating at it. I just would like to patch it up for about 3 month use, I'll be dropping in a rb25det and switching over to a fuel cell, for the driting and auto cross races. Any suggestion on a quick fix, I would love to know?

I think "JB Weld" has some product to repair holes in gas tanks. You can get it at a hardware store or auto parts place.

Your guess is as good as mines, I have only look at it yesterday at night, where i drill the hole in the passenger side right behind the side about 3.5inches away from the back of the seat, when I drilled thru I heard an psss sound and check under the car and saw fuel shooting out of the hole. I'll try some JB weld today, it also got in the car all over the carpet. So I guess i be 240 less for sometime.

perhaps you didn't rupture the tank itself, but a fuel line. The fuel line runs down the passenger side. I would think you'd only be able to drill into the actual tank from the trunk area.

first off... jack up the car and stick your head under there and figure out exactly what you hit... my money is on the fuel line.

If it is the fuel line... .Go to an autoparts store and see if they have some new fuel lines. You could even get some fancy braided lines.

I wouldn't feel safe trying to patch up a fuel line... it needs to be under pressure and you would have to weld it to get it right... and we all know that fire and fuel are a bad combination outside of your engine cylanders.

there is no way you hit the fuel tank drilling inches behind your pass. seat. that is where your brake and your fuel lines run. either way there is no fixing that, go to autozone and you're gonna have to get new hard lines, a tubing bender, and some ends (they should crimp them on for you).

its not expensive but its a pain. next time check before you drill...
