help!!! i think i broke my tein he's

heyi was adjusting them this morning and didnt know when to stop turning right (it didnt say in the installation manual that it would break if i turned it too much).

basically, you are supposed to turn it to the stiffest setting, then turn back 12 clicks (front) to put it at standard setting.

i didnt know where the stiffest setting was and turned too much...

now the knob clicks, but you can turn it forever and it would still be clicking.

do i need to have tein rebuild them?

I have never had this problem, so it sounds a bit odd.. but i think i get what you're saying. Where'd you buy the Teins from? do they have a tech support 800# ? I would start there and email Tein tech support

ok, i called tein and they told me what to do... they told me to take the thing apart and realign a screw under the clicking assembly =D

im doing that now, but i dont have the right wrench to do the job. me very angry!!!!!!!

Get the right tool, man. You don't want to round a bolt or mess anything up.

yeah... wrench the clicking thing off, then stick and allen wrench in there, and make it so that the screw was flush with the top of the piston rod.

^^ posted that in case anyone else has a similar problem.

at this point, the thing is fixed... im happy....

and even if you dont have any problems with your teins, FIND AN EXCUSE TO CALL TEIN'S CUSTOMER SERVICE! i called and i was helped by this totally hot sounding chick.... and she knew more than i did about cars. totally turn on A plus!!!!!

and i like your avatar smithsr. two for pink, one for the stink, eh? hehe
