Help I need to drop transmission

Ok I wasdrifting in my stock s13 hatch 90 and I was doing great havin a lot of fun and then I hear a loud grinding noise coming from my transmission mainly where the motor bolts on to the transmission and it's a 5spd and I drifted and came around the corner went to press down on the clutch and I heard a loud grinding noise and I got scared so I turned everything off anyone might know what it could be ideove the car home very carefully and have it on ramps and jack stands I have the driveshaft(the whole thing) off and the transmission completely unbolted but I cannot for the life of me get the shifter out any ideas or tricks to get it out? Because that's all that's holding me back please help thanks

your trying to pull the trans with the shifter in it? Or you cant get the shift off of the trans?

I can't get the shifter off if I don't get it off I won't have enough clearance to push the transmission back and then down

i got my transmission out found out that all my flywheel bolts had came loose luckily no damage was done flywheel was reusable bolts clutch everything was good so i put the flywheel back in and put a s**t load of thread lock and i wanted to torque the bolts but my torque wrenches capacity was too low so i just impact wrenched them in and i need to put transmission and driveshaft back in and shifter assembly and also lots of transmission fluid was spilled so i need to put new oil do u know what kind i need to get? my chiltons book said i need APL G4 i think soo do u know???

Two mistakes....

Never re-use OEM flywheel bolts they are TTY
Always torque properly for balance.

And yes GL-4 only (GL5 will harm the bushing and syncros). I would only use Amsoil or redline

whats tty mean? and its too late ive already put it on with locktight and clutch and pressure plate and all an how much oil will i need and how much is it gonna cost me???

Torque to yield, meaning they stretch and should only be used once.
