HELP!! i need help installing a Pivot headlight controller!!

I bought a pivot headlight controller for my 93' nissan 240sx and the instructions is all in japanese. so if anyone ever installed one in thier 89-93 240sx..please help me!! Thanks!

If you can scan the wiring diagram and post it I'll give it a shot. I wired up a full Greddy E-manage set with J-spec instructions before, Ridalin helped.

i just bought a 1$ momentary switch cut two wires insert switch clamp togther ,mounted it , and a cheap majical 1$ sleepy eye conversion!! im so cheap!!!

I just turn fifthteen times on the manual knob each on top of the light motor, and take my fuse out for sleepy eyes with lights on TaDa!!!!. Or just turn them and leave it alone. But it will reset to its orginal postion once you turn on your lights. Kind of redundent ???, but I don't like spleepy eyes all the times anyway. Bugs get in to the eyes... And Don't want to bother with wires... hehehe

for the 15th time the manual knobs only work once. and for the 20th time do a search. the momentary switch question has been covered at least twice. search for "how to destroy pop up headlights" it is super easy.

ok first... before you go spouting about making serches and all this... i did serch, lazy eye, sleepy eye, sleepy eye install, lazy eye install, all with no luck so stop going on about that, i have been on this forum for a while now and know to do a serch, thats how i got this thread again. second how to destroy popups isnt a subject that seems like it has to do with installing the switch...

oh and BTW the thread had nothing to do with the pivot.... it was about a way to do it yourself... not do the dumb thing and buy the pivot liek i did....

first i just did a search for sleepy eye and found all the info in the world. second all the info you need is in the thread entitled how to destroy popup headlights, including some pics. i know because i posted it. i know it doesnt seem like the thread you would want for sleepy eyes and that is why i said to search for that particular one

once agian. i did a serch, for sleepy eye (as you said which got you loads of info) for the third time, and got nthing on how to INSTALL THE PIVOT HEADLIGHT CONTROLER. i got plenty of info on how to do it your self style with momentary switchs and what not but nothng on pivot stuff....

let's see if I remember this correctly...

Down in the driver's side footwell, on the left hand side, there are 2 small boxes, a white one and a black one. To get to them, take off the plastic body panel piece around/over the fuse box. There's one screw on the door-frame, and I think 2 on the front wall of the cabin. One of these boxes is bolted to the outside of the body there, and one is recessed down in a hole. I can't remember which is where, I think black in the hole, white out of it. You'll see what I mean when you get down there. You want to unbolt and pull out the box in the hole, it should say something about headlights on it somewhere. There's a pink wire on there, that's the one the headlight controller will wire into. Snip the pink wire, and connect the black wire off the pivot unit to the end of the pink wire running back into the car's little headlight box. Connect the yellow wire to the other end of the pink wire, the one that goes up to the headlight harness. The gray wire should be connected to a 12v constant. The red is ground. I recommend taking the fuse off the red ground wire and putting it on the gray power wire. I think my pivot box got fried because I didn't do that. That should be everything...here's a diagram. Replace "brown" with "yellow":



Follow these directions at your own risk. I'm fairly certain they're right, but not completely.

I keep seeing all kinds of posts about the 4 wire pivot controller, but mine has 6 wires. I was wondering if anyoe knows about how to intall this one. . .
