I know i should have used the SEARCH button but i need some help with picking a turbo....im trying to build a monster KA-T for street/track use and i have come across a deal on 2 turbo's and im not sure yet witch one to pick.

T3 TURBOCHARGER45 trim (21lb/min). 42 A/R COMPRESSOR . 48 A/R TURBINE

and a

T4 TURBO . 60 - T COMPRESSOR WHEEL GARRETT INTERNALS T04 " P " 1.05 A/R TURBINE HOUSING COMPRESSOR HOUSING A/R .60 TO4E INDUCER 2.324" / MAJOR 3.00"

If anyone could help me out with my decision i would greatly appreciate it. im trying to build my KA-T bulit proof with 350-400HP , i alwayse think bigger is better but i dont want to screw it up. thanks everyone

go with the T4 definitely over that T3. that T4 will have lag to it due to the size of the back housing but that T3 will never get to those HP figures. BTW, that T3 is too small for the KA IMO.

the t3 will make little power, and the t4 is too big for any fun on the street. Go for a .63 a/r T3 turbine housing (hot side) with a T04E wheel, the 50trim is the most common for street apps, if you are looking for 350-400 hp (300-350whp) then it will be perfect, if you want more, I would personally rocommend a 60-1 compressor on the same turbine housing.

You won't see boost until 6000 with the TO4. I have a .81 here and I didn't hit boost till over 5000 on my Skyline.

The T3 is smaller then I'd use but it will spool very quickly and be good for street and track.
