I notice this happening when the car is cold. For instance, when I back out of the driveway in the morning and i start to pull forward, there is a clunk that sounds like it is coming from the bottom of the car. Anyone know what this might be?

Your cat? jk. the abs self check could be it for sure.

It might take a while to find, but in the factory service manual, which you can find in the table of contents, there is a whole checklist for diagnosing rattles and clanks and such. Its what the dealers use on their test drives when you bring it in to get it fixed. It has things like what you described, starting the car cold and listening, then it tells you where to look based on the sound. its very detailed. You should give it a shot.

WOW, there it is in plain old black and white, the Owners Manual, who knew.

The ABS check described exactly what i'm experiencing.

Thanks again

I had the same concerns when I got my Coupe ... found the answer here first ... guess I just glossed over it in the manual as well the first time around.
