Hi all,
I have a 1988 300zx z31 2-seater with automatic trans and t-tops, 168,000 mi. I have had the car for approximately 11 years. About 3 years ago it started acting up. It starts, but doesn't idle, and has been sitting for *ahem* a while. The city I live in has told me it has to go or be registered, or face a fine. I am not a mechanic in any way, and even though I wanted to restore it, now I need to get rid of it ASAP. I called a few cash for car places and they told me over the phone they'd basically give me the scrap metal price. That breaks my heart. I've spent so much money and time on the car, and had the transmission completely rebuilt just before I quit driving it, that I can't bear to do that. However, I would basically give the car away for not much more than a song to someone who could restore it or use the parts. Everything in the car is original except it now has a pioneer radio/cd/usb thing. What should I/do I do?
SO Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I am in Raleigh, NC. Thanks!!
