The car is a 91a, engine died (chain guide failure) I've sourced a Japanese engine but would like to get rid of the "Active" suspension. I have visions of a nice JDM VIP look Q and welcome your input. For $300.00 I could just part it out but I enjoy the look and style..... Also any good ideas on increasing ouput on the new engine before I install it?

Thanks

You need to visit with TexasOil http://www.q45asuspension.com

And you need to read Q45tech's posts about chossing JDM take outs and rehabilitating them.

Then you need to get on the NICO ECU list.

Joe at Scottsdale has a kit for going non active. W/much help from GQJay - I converted my 94 to non active. The car is quicker off the line w/o active - I just did not have the time and money to cope with re-habing the active suspension. You can save some money if you source used springs. Post pics! And welcome to the "more than one G50 club" - there's several of us out here!

Here's a nice Q next door to you that one of our members is selling.

There's many active Q owners here at NICO that would stand in line to have some of the parts off your active Q. If you have the time and the resources I would not go through the expense of converting to non-active and putting in a new engine. Cut your losses, and buy another Q. You've got at least $1000 in parts if you want to take the time to part out (probably more since it's an active) and that's without removing the engine, transmission, wheels or any body parts.
