my old battery was nearing its end, so i changed it and now it wont start. the cranking amps on the new one is less than the old one i have, can that be a reason? so i tried swaping it back to my old one and still nothing. the clock on my cluster doesnt even light up. got any quick ideas on what the problem could be?

check your fuses and make sure you didn't reverse the polarity.

technicaly 3...one by the batt, one behind the driver headlight and one in the driver's kick panel. take a reading on the voltage of the battery, is it at 12.6?

Do what he told you. Check the battery voltage and make sure the polarity is correct. Make sure the battery terminals and connectors are clean, too.
