So as i said i cant shift my car into any gear at all. I cannot dry shift into 1st gear as well. The last time i shifted was a few seconds before when i shifted in to reverse and when i did there was some resistance and the engine jumped when the gear was sliding into reverse. My car is 92' 240sx hatchback with a KA24DE. My friend said it maybe the slave cylinder. Please, any advice would be helpful.

could be:air bubblesbad slavebad masterbad pressure platesynchronizers in transmission are worn

in my opinion, you should check the slave and master cylinder and bleed the line before concluding that its the clutch or transmission

jack up the car, have a friend watch the slave cylinder. see if it moves when you push the clutch in, also is there fluid in the master cylinder?

sorry took so long to answer back guys and thanks for all the replies. I doubted that its the clutch because when i press it down it feels normal and as i said when i dry shift through the gears they all work except 1st gear. I'm not sure if the master needs fluid or not. My friend is coming over later to help me check out slave, we will also check the master as well. I never thought about the pressure plate or the lines being dry so ill check those as well. Once again thanks alot guys for all responses and i will keep u all updated.

Wonder if you bent up the clutch fork after trying and trying.

The slave cylinder is fine. I drove around for a little while and she was shifting fine. Then i change the transmission fluid, which was gray like a stretched out trash bag. I put gear oil in the transmission and let her run for a couple minutes and when i went to change gears all of a sudden nothing. So i dry shifted and it went through all the gears. started her up again and was able to shift into 2nd n 4th. when I driy shift into 1st or 2nd n turn the car she drives normal. The master cylinder and fluids are fine if its the fork or pressure plate than im not gonna worry cause i'm gonna swap this engine in a 91 240sx coupe in a couple of days.
