I changed the rear caliper on my '95 240sx. I got a new rotor and new pads. But....i can't figure how to get the retainer clips to hold the pads in there. I have spent 3+ hrs trying and trying. What is the right way to install the brake pads??? I have to get this running tommarrow so i need very detail instrutions!!!!

compress the piston by rotating it clock wise while pushing it in. if you have bolted the carrier in(what the caliper bolts to) place the pads on either side od the rotor. if you have indicators on the pads they go on the inboard pad of both sides of the car. if only one pad has an indicator it goes on the right(passenger) inboard postion. once you have the pads in place and the piston compressed slide the caliper over the pads and install the bolts. note: the pin on the pad should line up with the slot on the caliper piston ,any one, just rotate the piston so it lines up.

I might of figured what i did wrong. I loosened the 17mm bolt instead of the 9/16in bolt. <---I was trying to get the pads and retainer clip lined up with that big bracket attached. I gave up working on the car when it got dark 4 hrs ago. We'll find out come morning!!! The caliper slides on those two tubes with the 9/16 bolts. Are these the bolts to loosen???
