I just bought the 09 Nissan Versa S and I had a few questions for anyone who may be able to help.....

1. I got the type S but can I upgrade the stereo to the 6disk changer, etc.?

2. Can I install fog lights, if so, which are the best ones?

3. What's a good GPS system for this car?

And any other upgrades that'd be good to get.....

Thank you all in advance!!

Might have been better and less costly in the long run to just order a blue one.

But anyhow, yes you can upgrade the S to the SL 6-disc changer with no probs. Same wiring in the back.

You are able to install fog lights, you can go OEM but they will be expensive. Otherwise I recommend anything by PIAA.

I personally use the TomTom One and love it. My fiance' got it for me a couple of xmas' ago for about $100 or $150. I was able to download a voice pack that has John Cleese(sp?). So he cracks jokes as he tells me where to go. Quite the conversation starter for passengers in my car.

For ambient light, there have been a few members that have used LEDs and it looks good.

As for the remote starter, what kind of transmission do you have?

Wow, thanks for the helpful response...It sounds better to just get the SL so I may look into getting it but I'm not sure if it's too late...I bought the car 2 days ago....Otherwise my transmission is automatic and I got the 1.8L Hatch S

Welcome to the forum!!!

Instead of buying the SL stereo and a gps seperate...why not buy a navigation stereo??? It may not have a 6-disc but they have better controls over mp3's and ipods, plus you can "fine tune" your speakers for better sound. Just my .02

As far as remote starters, theres a bunch of manufactures out there. You have the DOE's (viper, python, hornet, clifford) and all of them work well just stay away from hornet, they always have wiring problems (not from the installers) .

Don't listen to My_New_V... he doesn't know anything.

I would recommend going with a indash navigation system that might not include a disc changer but would probably have bluetooth and ipod interfaces. Check out Pioneer. Just my .02

You didn't get one because they didn't have blue?

yea... 5 months later I traded my first Sapphire Blue 2007 Versa SL for my second Sapphire Blue 2007 Versa SL... The sooner the better... the dealership may even be willing to not rape you if it is within so many days... and you'll be giving them more money...

Hi Kim

I am kind of confused... why do you want to trade a SL to another SL?

Something wrong with the first one or...
