ok so i got my HIDs like 2 weeks ago or something but i didn't get relays and if i leave my lights on "auto", when i start my car at night only 1 will come on or both wont come on. then i switch it to off and then back to auto and its fine. i think its cuz the lights arn't getting enough power when starting the car. so people have said relays will solve this. my question is, what relays? never really messed with HIDs before. so could someone please help me out and post a link to an ebay auction or something?

Here you go sir.

I've tried to get this to work... but haven't been successful. I think I just was connecting it to the OEM harness wrong. I will try again on Sunday.

thank you.

so you're having the same problem as me even after installing relays? is it something else?

and yes the premium package already has HIDs from the factory.... when i got my car there were no premium packages available and my dad just happen to be in a good mood and willing to buy me a car so i just got what i could before he changed his mind lol

I actually just installed the xentec kit with that same relay a few hours ago and everything worked perfectly. No issues with the lights turning on and off so far... Can't wait to see what they look like tonight!

ya my xentec kit is perfect and i love my HIDs but i used to just leave it on "auto". now i can't leave it on auto when the car starts because at night when its on auto, the second your finger touches the push button start, the lights come on and then the car starts and when it starts it pulls power away from the lights and uses it to start the car. once the car is started, sometimes the lights wont turn back on, on there own or maybe just 1 would. the only issue is when starting the car with the lights on "auto". once the car is started, there are no issues at all.

at night, leave your lights on "auto" and start your car and see if you have the same issues as me

I've had my Xenteks in my wife's car for 7-8 months now... I always leave the car in auto and have never had a problem!

I have the same problem with one or both of the lights turning on and then going out when starting the car. So far I've gotten around this by always turning the lights on AFTER I have started the car. I have the relay kit mentioned above but haven't gotten around to installing it. When I install it (maybe tonight) I'll let you know if it solved my problem.

I actually have that same problem when i hav it set on 'auto' and i start the car at night neither my HID fogs or HID lows turn on i have to have on the off mode then start the car, then put it in the 'aut; mode

other than that the lights are fine, i havent seen them flicker or anything I ordered mine around the same time you did to.

I will order my relay soon tho to see if it fixes the problem

some of us that have installed relays to solve this misfiring problem still get a misfire, but we all seem to get it only in the passenger side headlight....no other lights....so we're thinking it may be something else.

Yea, today I experienced this.

I have the Xentec slim ballasts with the relay harness. Today I left my car on auto and when I turned on my car... only the driver side turned on.

If I turn on my car in the OFF setting and just turn it over to AUTO... they turn on properly.
